Which WoW Forever class is easiest to bot?

Which WoW Forever classes are easiest to bot? A practical ranking by automation difficulty, plus the best tank, healer and DPS picks for dungeon botting.

Your class matters more than your bot settings

People spend hours tuning bot settings and zero minutes thinking about which class to bot on. That is backwards. A beast mastery hunter is forgiving enough that a mediocre bot can level it. A feral druid requires timing and resource management that makes even a good bot look clumsy.

This is a practical ranking based on how much the bot has to manage, how forgiving the rotation is, and how well the class handles things going wrong — which, in botting, they always do.

Easy: Hunter, Ret Paladin, Frost Mage

Hunter is the classic botting class for a reason. Pet tanks, you shoot from range, and the rotation is simple. When something goes wrong, the pet buys time. Beast mastery especially is a one-target-at-a-time spec where the optimal play is also the simplest play.

Ret paladin is forgiving because of self-healing. When the bot pulls two mobs instead of one, a ret paladin can survive it. The rotation is a priority list with no complex resource management, which is exactly what bots are good at.

Frost mage has crowd control built into the rotation: frost nova, slow, kite. The bot does not need a separate survival system because the combat rotation itself handles adds. The one risk is mana management, but the bot handles drinking automatically.

Medium: Warrior, Rogue, Warlock

Warrior is gear-dependent and takes damage in every fight, which means more downtime and more repair bills. The bot handles the rotation fine, but the class is less forgiving when the bot pulls too many mobs. Arms is easier to bot than fury because it is slower-paced.

Rogue requires stealth management and positional attacks (backstab from behind). The bot handles stealth but positioning is inconsistent — sometimes it gets the backstab, sometimes it does not. Combat spec is the easy mode here because it ignores positioning.

Warlock is medium because of pet management and dot timing. The bot applies dots fine, but the class has more abilities that need to be used at the right moment versus just on cooldown. Affliction is the easiest warlock spec to bot.

Hard: Feral Druid, Shadow Priest, Enhancement Shaman

These classes have resource systems that make them harder to automate well. Feral druid alternates between energy pooling and spending, and the timing matters — pooling too long wastes DPS, spending too early means you cannot finish the kill. The bot can do it, but it will not match a human.

Shadow priest lives and dies by mana. Knowing when to wand, when to drink, and when a mob is worth a full DoT rotation rewards planning several pulls ahead. A bot plays it one pull at a time, which is functional but drinks more often than a good human would.

Enhancement shaman depends on weapon speed, shock timing, and totem placement. Totems are the problem — the bot places them on cooldown, but a human places them based on fight length and mob count. The bot will waste totems on short fights.

For dungeons specifically

Tank: paladin is the easiest to bot because the rotation generates threat naturally and the class is survivable. Warrior tank works but requires more precise positioning.

Healer: holy priest and restoration druid are both bot-friendly because healing is a priority list the bot handles well. The hard part is cooldown timing on big pulls, which the bot uses on cooldown rather than saving for the right moment.

DPS: anything from the "easy" list above. The bot does not need to position as carefully in dungeons because the tank holds the mobs. The dungeon bot guide explains how roles are played.

The real takeaway

If you are starting a new account to bot, roll a hunter. If you are botting an existing character, the bot will work on any class — it just might look clunkier on some than others. At $20/month (see pricing) you can test it on your actual character without a long-term commitment.
