Before you start
You need a Windows PC, a WoW Forever account, and the game installed. The bot runs alongside the game client — it does not replace it. You also need to accept that botting violates the game's terms of service. Read our WoW Forever bot safety guide first if you have not, and check the FAQ for system requirements.
Step 1: Download and install
After purchase, use the download link sent to the email you provided and run the installer. The bot installs to its own directory and creates a desktop shortcut. It does not modify your game files — it reads the game window and sends inputs, which is how it works without injecting anything into the client.
On first launch, enter the license key sent to your email to activate the software. Then log in to WoW Forever yourself, select your character, and the bot takes over from there. No WowForeverBot account is required.
Step 2: Pick what you want the bot to do
The main screen has four modes: Leveling, Farming, Gathering, and Dungeons. For your first run, pick Leveling. It is the easiest to watch and understand, and you will see the bot quest, fight, and move within a few minutes.
Each mode has a settings panel. For your first session, leave everything on defaults. The defaults are tuned for safe, human-like play: 4-6 hour sessions, randomized timing, rest breaks. You can tune later once you understand what each setting does.
Step 3: The settings that actually matter
Most settings are personal preference. Three of them matter for safety:
Session length: keep it under 8 hours. The default is 6. Long sessions are one of the biggest ban risk factors. If you want to run overnight, split it into two sessions with a break in the middle.
Schedule randomization: leave it on. This varies your start and stop times by 30-60 minutes each day so your play schedule does not look mechanical. Turning this off is the fastest way to get flagged.
Whisper response: set it to either auto-respond with a generic away message or alert you on your phone. An account that ignores whispers for 6 hours is a tell. The bot can forward whispers to Discord so you can reply from your phone.
Step 4: Watch your first session
Do not start the bot and walk away. Watch it for the first 30 minutes. You will see it accept quests, run to objectives, fight mobs, loot, and move on. If something looks wrong — it gets stuck, it fights weirdly, it ignores a quest — stop it and check your settings.
The first session is also where you learn the bot's rhythm. It is not going to play exactly like you would. It might skip a quest you always do or take a route you do not like. That is normal. What matters is that it is leveling and not getting stuck.
Step 5: What to do when the bot gets stuck
Every bot gets stuck sometimes. A pathing bug, a new game patch, an NPC that moved. WowForeverBot has a stuck detector: if the character has not moved in 90 seconds, it tries to recover — re-pathing, then hearthing, then logging out safely if nothing works.
If the bot logs out on its own, that is the safety system working, not a crash. Check the session log to see what happened, and report it if it is a repeatable bug. We fix pathing issues fast because they affect every user.
You are ready to let it run
After a few watched sessions, you will know what the bot does well and what it does differently from you. That is the point to start letting it run on its own — first for an hour while you are in the other room, then for a full session.
Set up Discord alerts so the bot pings you if it stops, gets stuck, or finishes its goal. Then go do something else. That is the whole point.
